Boris Rayskin, the artistic director/producer is a cellist, composer and improviser, former member of Pop Mekhanika Orchestra. The SKIIFestival is co-produced by Alex Kan, Bliss Records, First Avenue, Inc., Walter Thompson, Frank London, Elissa Kleeman. Conceptual guidance has been offered by Maximilian Schell, Natalya Andreychenko, Michail Shemiakin, Michael Dorf.
The purpose of the Festival is to benefit the Kuryokhin family (he is survived by his wife and three children). Festival's revenues will go into Sergey Kuryokhin Memorial Fund, which will support not only his family, but also research and consecutive publ ications of SK's archives. Therefore, all the participants are contributing their artistry without any reimbursement. The SKIIFestival provides travel, accommodations and medical for all involved. The other, nor less important purpose of the Festival is to meet "Downtown" & "Midtown" on the same stages. To end the opposition of "academic" and "experimental", "classical" and "modern", "elite" and "mass" cultures. Here We Are Unlimited states for al l the genres, styles and periods brought together in the unity of Creativity.
